Self-monitoring

• Peak expiratory flow Rate (PEFR)
   maximum speed of expiration
   PEFmeter measures how fast air comes out of the
   lungs when you exhale forcefully after inhaling fully.(

        liters per minute (lpm))

    • Prevent excercise-induced bronchospasm
    • Monitoring for any changes in symptoms
