Mesophyll; traversed by single vascular strand and accompanied
with hypodermis of thick walled pitted lignified sclerenchyma.
Corolla:
Inner epidermis; polygonal papillosed with wavy walls
Outer epidermis; subrectangular with wavy walls and striated

cuticle
Compositous glandular hairs are present on the tubular part.

Ovary:
The epidermal shows numerous prisms of calcium oxalate and

numerous
glandular hairs, schizoganous ducts filled with brown secretion are

present.
Stigma; with long papillae.
Identification of Pyrethrum Powder:
Physical Characters:

Powdered pyrethrum is yellowish green in colour with
aromatic odour and bitter acrid taste.
Microscopic Characters:

1- Number pollen grains which are spherical three germ
pores and three germinal furrows with spiny exine
measuring 34-40 um in diameter.

2- Fragments of the fibrous layer appearing polygonal or
elongated beaded cells.
