             Immunostimulant herbal medicine

Immune stimulant herbs act to:
       • Increase in numbers of circulating immune cells.
       • Enhance phagocytosis of pathogens (viruses, bacteria, ….)

In principle, immune-enhancing herbs should not be given long-term to
transplant recipients receiving immune-suppressing drugs.

    Astragalus roots:

Uses:

   - Herbal use:
-Used for Impaired immunity
-Adjunct in the treatment of cancer.
-For viral infections including the common cold ( and other respiratory
infections).
-Has hepatoprotective activity and enhancement of cardiovascular function.
