A human insulin contains both fast-acting (soluble) and long-acting (isophane) insulin.
a combination of insulin with protamine, a protein, and zinc. This combination results in the
formation of insulin crystals, which dissolve slowly when injected SC.
The ratio is (7: 3) long-insulin to fast-insulin. soluble insulin 30% and isophane insulin 70%.
The rapid-acting insulin help control mealtime spikes in blood sugar and an intermediate-acting
insulin works up to 24 hours to help control blood sugar between meals.

Sterile preparations are completely free from microorganisms and contaminants.
Presence of pathogens in parenteral preparations is very serious (fatal in IV).
