Carvone
Source: Oil of caraway.
Uses:
Used for flavoring of many kinds of food products and beverages. It is also
used in mouth preparations, gargles and tooth pastes.
Diosphenol
Source: Oil of Buchu.
- Has camphor- like odor, so it is called Buchu-camphor.
Uses:
Owing to the presence of this chemical compound, leaves of buchu are
used as herbal teas marketed for treating kidney disorders as well as
other problems of the urinary bladder as this volatile oil possesses diuretic
properties.
Piperitone
Source: Eucalyptus oils.
Uses: Piperitone is used as staning material for the preparation of
synthetic menthol and thymol.
