Meaning: Kabeer, do not leave the ocean, even if it is very salty.
It means you will get pearls from ocean only, not from dirty and small pond.

If you poke around searching from puddle to puddle, no one will call you smart. 50

Message: Even in this Salok Bhagat Kabeer Ji emphasizes good company and good
environment. We must aim high and have higher thinking. We may feel happy at a

place where bad but exciting things are happening, but we will find nothing better than
we will find mud in a puddle in such places.

Meaning: Kabeer, where there is spiritual wisdom, there is righteousness and Dharma.

Where there is falsehood, there is sin.

Where there is greed, there is death of virtues.
Where there is forgiveness, there is God Himself. 155

Message: This Salok is absolutely amazing. If we can live by this Salok alone, it can

change our world. It tells us that we must stay away from falsehood, lies and greed.
Just leaving these two things and inculcating two virtues will change us for the

better. When we have magnanimous heart and are able to forgive others for their

faults, we will be at peace and feel closer to Waheguru.

Meaning: Kabeer, whether it is for an hour, half an hour, or half of that,
Whatever it is, it is worthwhile to speak with the Saintly/good persons. 232

Message: Kabeer Ji tells us that no matter how long we have in a day, we must

seek good company, even if we have a short time available to us. Company of good
people, even for a short time will definitely make us better. Doing Gurbani Paath even

for a few minutes can change our life if we can learn a message from it.
