Lesson 12: Gurparsad gurpRswid
The last word in the Mool Mantar is Gurparsad. “Gurparsad” means Waheguru’s
grace. That means we can realize Waheguru and His presence in us and around us
only by the Grace of Guru.
Knowing the importance of Gurparsad has significant implications for us. We
cannot become a Sachiara, Nirbhau, Nirvair, Ajooni and Saibhang without
Waheguru’s grace. We must always feel presence of Waheguru and practice
Naam Japo, Kirat Karo and Vand Chhako.
When we realize that Guru’s blessing is with us, it gives us two kinds of feelings.
One that Guru Ji loves us and He will help us become a good person. And second,
that He will protect us and bless us with goodness in life.
Once we realize that everything happens due to Waheguru’s grace, we will not
feel too proud to think that we do anything ourselves. We will know that good
happened because of Guru’s Grace who gave us the wisdom to work hard. It
makes us humble to feel that our good ideas and actions happen due to
Waheguru’s blessing. A humble person is a better person than an arrogant or a
proud person. Humility is a Sikh virtue. We must always pray for Guru’s Grace.
