Students thoroughly enjoy this musical craft, finding joy in both the creation
process and the subsequent lively play.
A. In this activity, they will be crafting a paper plate f&lI, fostering their love for
music and adding an entertaining element to their learning experience.
Incorporating music into education contributes to child development and
strengthens the mind-body connection.
B. Once the students have completed their f&lI creations, invite them to join
you for the second circle time. Here, they can actively participate by playing
along to simran or a shabad they have recently learned. This adds another
layer of magic to the classroom, creating a memorable and engaging
experience for the students.
Materials:
- 2 - 9 inch light weight, white paper plates
- Jingle Bells (3 per students)
- Print out of f, provided in handbook
- Curling ribbon or yarn
- Tape
- Single Hole Punch
- Crayons
Method:
1. Decorate the paper plates as desired.
2. Sandwich the plates so that the edges align and concave part is towards
the exterior to create space in the center.
3. Using the hole puncher, punch 3 holes along the edge of the plate making
certain that both the top and bottom are being punched.
4. For each hole, string a single jingle bell through a 12inch piece of ribbon or
yarn.
5. String the ribbon with the jingle bell through one of the holes and tie it
securely.
6. Repeat for the remaining 2 holes.
7. Color and cut out the f f&lI, glue to one side of paper plate dufli.
