Conclusion
It’s an exemplary case of conversion of raw human resource into useful human resource of
division. It was a Herculean task for the Training Department in convincing various
departments, identifying suitable in-house training staff, providing all the resources
necessary for the training and executing during off working hours. The target group trainees
are just literates in the age group of 35 to 59 yrs. The Training Manager had to experience
unpleasant instances due to lack of confidence of many of the factory workshops in carrying
out training for these target group. Contrary to the expectations of the factory mass, The
target group trainees participated in training with great devotion and sincerity. The on job
training at IMM in fact saw an active contribution in meeting production challenges. The
Division has utilized Rs 1,52,000 /- only out of sanctioned 4,07,253/- with all skeletal
training resources.
All This was possible due to support from AGM (HR), Mr Rangareddy, and other
departmental heads concerned. The Deputy Secretary of SBTET had personally conducted
final examination for the target group trainees. The Director, SBTET, had forwarded the
certificates of 40 qualified trainees on 12 August 2010. The Training Department has not
kept any imageries of training, since the whole division was witness for the saga.
“The contribution of TTC was noticed and the best practices were recognized. Indian
Society for Training and Development (ISTD) presented best HRD and Training Practices
2011 award”.
