3. Burgo




                                    Burgo has a similar appearance to kwetiau. The burgo dough is




                               made from rice flour and sago flour, then cooked like a thin




                               rolled omelet. After that, roll it and slice it thinly. Burgo is




                               usually served with savory coconut milk sauce seasoned with



                               garlic, galangal, kencur, turmeric, coriander and candlenut.




                               Shredded fish meat or additional celimpungan is also usually




                               added to complete the delicacy of this typical Palembang food.











                         4. Sambal Tempoyak



                                    Sambal tempoyak is a famous sambal from Palembang. This




                               chili sauce is also a typical Palembang chili sauce. Made from




                               fermented durian, this sambal tempoyak has a sour, spicy and




                               sweet taste complemented by the aroma of durian. The way to




                               make it is by sautéing durian flesh together with chilies and



                               onions. You can enjoy a variety of other typical Palembang




                               dishes with this chili sauce.
