Activity 1 Populations and Samples

Learn about populations and samples.

A population is the entire group of individuals or objects.
A sample is a part of the chosen population to get information
about the whole population.

The best way to survey a large population is to use a sample.
If the population is small, it is better to survey the whole population because
it gives more accurate results. If the size of the population is too large, you
should survey a sample because it is too time-consuming and expensive to
survey the whole population.

1 . Find the population of each survey. Tell whether to survey the whole

population or not.
