Activity 2 Random Sampling

Selecting a sample from the population is called sampling.
Learn about one of the sampling methods called random sampling.

Random sampling is selecting an individual or object randomly so
that every individual or object in the population has an equal
chance of being selected for the survey.

A survey is conducted regarding students’ satisfactory levels with school
facilities. Among the three methods below, choose the random sampling
method.

In methods 1 and 2, a student’s chance of being selected as a sample is not
equal. Therefore, those 2 methods are not random sampling.
Method 3 is random sampling because each student has an equal chance
of being selected.
