Activity 3 Systematic and Convenience Samplings
Learn about systematic sampling and convenience sampling.
Systematic sampling is selecting an individual or object randomly
and then selecting others using a pattern.
Convenience sampling is selecting the most available individuals
or objects in the population to obtain results quickly.
The following shows the comparison among random sampling, systematic
sampling, and convenience sampling.
Random Sampling Convenience Sampling
Pick top three cards among 24 cards.
Select three cards from 24 cards
randomly.
Systematic Sampling
Place 24 cards on the table face down. Select a card randomly from the first
eight cards, and after that, select every eighth card.
