Learn about biased and unbiased samples.

When you collect data in a survey, your sample should represent the whole
population. If certain groups from the population are not represented by the
sample, the sample is a biased sample. Every individual in that population
should have an equal chance of being selected. If every individual has an
equal chance of being selected, the sample is an unbiased sample.

A survey is being conducted at the school to find students’ favorite music
genres. Jessica, Ricky, Ann, and Ryan selected their samples.
