3 . A sample can be selected from the population using convenience

sampling. Write how the sample can be selected.
a. A survey is conducted to find out students’ favorite colors at Ann’s school.

b. A Survey is conducted to find out Candidate A’s approval rate in the
senator election.

What is a good sample?
1. It must represent the entire population.
2. The sampling method must be objective and simple.

A good sample can be obtained by using random sampling and
systematic sampling. Between the two methods, systematic
sampling takes less time and effort to obtain samples than
random sampling.
Due to the obvious advantage of systematic sampling, it is used
to select a sample from a large population.
Convenience sampling uses a simple sampling process.
However, each individual does not have an equal chance of being
selected. Therefore, a good sample cannot be obtained.
