Congratulations Llano Grande Quilting Bee!!
The Spice of Friendship Quilt Show, held on Tuesday, January 30th, at the Hynes Event
Center was a huge success thanks to the many volunteer hours of the Bee. The show drew
hundreds of visitors from surrounding communities and, of course, Llano Grande residents
were very supportive of the 122 Quilting Bee members.
A tremendous Thank You goes to the Show
Chair, Michelle Patmon and her Co-Chair
Cindy Maledy for leading the 9th Annual
Show so successfully.
With more than 200 entries, the quilters
displayed their talent and skills in a vast
array of color and design in bed quilts, art
quilts, wall hangings, wearables, purses
and totes. The quality of their work is truly
inspirational and directly attributed to the
talented quilters who volunteer to provide
instruction for beginners and experienced
members.
If you didn't have an opportunity at the
show to purchase tickets to win the
Opportunity Quilt, Spice of Friendship,
they are still available from any Bee
member. The winning ticket will be drawn
at the Park Show and Tell event on
February 25th.
The Bee's commitment to Community
Service is supported by the proceeds from
the quilt show. Thank you to all who
