Harness Staff’s Competitive Nature
Appealing to staff’s competitiveness may be another way to increase their interest and support for more vibrant daily life activities... and have fun! There are many possibilities:
• Contests to find out certain things about residents.
• Individual competition to see who can generate the most spontaneous activities.
• Team competition to faithfully ensure planned activities occur daily on each shift in the household.
• Anything can be turned into a game: scavenger hunts, trivia questions about residents, Bingo, Family Feud, Jeopardy...the sky’s the limit.
