ii. Malaysia Stroke Mortality Rate Dataset

The information pertaining to stroke mortality in Malaysia was
obtained from the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) via

the eStatistik site. The dataset was obtained via a formal request
made via the portal, which was then processed and validated by

DOSM. Once the data was confirmed and prepared by DOSM,

payment was necessary to complete the order. The whole
procedure, starting with the original request and ending with the

receiving of the data, lasted around two months. Figure 4.16

displays a snapshot of the order details for the dataset as seen on
the eStatistik site. The choice of this specific source and dataset was

driven by the need for dependable and authentic data that
particularly presents stroke rates in different states of Malaysia.
