on Bjelašnica, Jahorina, Igman, Vlašić, Kupres, Rostovo, Ponijeri
and Brusnica are definitely worth a visit.
BJELAŠNICA
Olympic beauty is one of the leading ski resorts in Bosnia and
Herzegovina. It has the high steepness for skiing and is located
twenty minutes car drive from Sarajevo. Ski resort offers 8.345
meters of ski runs for all alpine disciplines. The trails are very
beautiful and wide, flattened and long. Two lifts are available
for the transportation of skiers to the top, as well as two double
and one triple seater chairlift. It took 12 minutes to the top of
the mountain.
If you are not a skier, you can enjoy the stunning views of the
Bjelašnica from ski chairlifts. Tip: Stay warm!
Accommodations on Bjelašnica are diverse and includes well-
known hotels Maršal and Han, as well as numerous apartments
that offer wellness, such as Alaia and Villa Bjelašnica...
IGMAN
Although the highest point is 1,502 meters above sea level,
Igman Mountain is very popular destination for skiers and hikers.
It is located southwest of Sarajevo, surrounded by Bjelašnica
and Ilidža municipalities. At the 14th Winter Olympic Games
in Sarajevo, Igman hosted athletes in Nordic skiing. There are
fields called Veliko and Malo on the mountain plateau, with
30 kilometres of cross-country and biathlon skiing trails. There
are two ski jumps, several alpine skiing trails and four baby lifts
for beginners on Malo field. There is a hostel Feri in the Veliko
Kupres: Raznovrsna field, in beautiful untouched nature located only 20 kilometres
ponuda from Sarajevo. The capacity is 126 beds. Igman is famous as the
mountain with the highest concentration of ozone in Europe

possibilities and is recommended for the sport trainings.
VLAŠIĆ

It is like a big fortress cresting above an ambient. The highest
top is Babanovac. Vlašić is 1,260 meters above the sea level.
There are five ski lifts, four ski jumps and walking trail. The total
length of runs is 15 kilometres. It has been well known for the
international Vlašić Europe Cup. Ski jump held 13 times on the
90-meter long inrun, and competitors and thousands of viewers
came from ten European countries, Japan and the United States.
It was a reserve centre for acclimatization on XIV Olympic Games
and it won the prestigious award “Silver flake”. There are top
quality hotels and private apartments, such as hotels Bianca,
Pahuljica, Sunce, Vlašić...
JAHORINA
A large area is protected as a national park. People who are in
love with winter sports enjoy the 20 km of groomed trails for
alpine skiing. There are two modern six seater chairlifts, three
double chairlifts, surface lift and baby lift with the total capacity
of 13,000 skiers per hour, modern ski school and ski service.
There are bars with sunbathing spots near the ski runs, where
you can enjoy BBQ and have a hot and cold beverages. Jahorina
ski resort is only 28 kilometers from Sarajevo. Visitors can relax
in the wellness centres, hotels Termag, Vučko and Bystrica in
pools, saunas, steam baths, massage salons, solariums and
whirlpool bathtubs.
