GRAFIK FUNGSI KUADRAT
1.Titik Potong Grafik Terhadap Sumbu X
Jika fungsi f(x) memotong sumbu x, maka fungsi
tersebut memotong sumbu x ketika f(x) = y = 0
Contoh :
Tentukan titik potong terhadap sumbu X dari
persamaan x² - 2x - 8 !
Jawab :
titik potong terhadap sumbu X, maka f(x) = y = 0
f(x) = x² - 2x - 8
0 = x² - 2x - 8
x² - 2x - 8 = 0 ← di faktorkan
( x - 4 ) ( x + 2 ) = 0
• ( x - 4 ) = 0 • ( x + 2 ) = 0
x = 4 x = -2
Jadi titik potong terhadap sumbu X dari
persamaan x² - 2x - 8 adalah (4, 0 ) dan ( -2, 0 )
