day. They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to
the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. (Acts,
                 2:40-42)

One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the
time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. (Acts, 3:1)

Now, Lord... enable your servants to speak Your word with
great boldness... After they prayed, the place where they were
meeting was shaken. And they... spoke the word of God bold-
                 ly. (Acts, 4:29-31)

Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known
to be full of the Spirit of God [with the morality with which
God is pleased] and wisdom... We will turn this responsibility

over to them and will... give our attention to prayer and the
ministry of the word." This proposal pleased the whole
group... They... prayed and laid their hands on them. So the
word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem in-
creased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient
                 to the faith. (Acts, 6:3-7)

When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might re-
ceive God's Spirit [the morality with which is pleased, their
                 having faith]. (Acts, 8:15)

... [Jesus] told him, "Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street
and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.
                 (Acts, 9:11)

Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his
                 knees and prayed. (Acts, 9:40)
