in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true
riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone
else's property, who will give you property of your own?"
(Luke, 16:10-12)
We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the ma-
ture, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age,
who are coming to nothing. (1 Corinthians, 2:6)
Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed,
we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven...
For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened... so
that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now it is God
Who has made us for this very purpose... (2 Corinthians, 5:1-5)
... For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imper-
ishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must
clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with im-
mortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the im-
perishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying
that is written will come true... (1 Corinthians, 15:52-54)
He also says, "In the beginning, O Lord, You laid the founda-
tions of the earth, and the heavens are the (Your) work... They
will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a gar-
ment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they
will be changed. But You remain the same, and your years will
never end." (Hebrews, 1:10-12)
For, "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the
flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but
the word of the Lord stands forever." And this is the word that
was preached to you. (1 Peter, 1:24-25)
