Pleasant Words from the Gospel

For I did not speak of my own accord,

but God Who sent me commanded me what
to say and how to say it. I know that His com-
mand leads to eternal life [paradise]. So whatever
I say is just what God has told me to say." (John,
                              12:49-50)

The One Who sent me is with me; He has not left
me alone, for I always do what pleases Him." Even
as He spoke, many put their faith in Him [God].
                             (John, 8:29-30)

And the Gospel must first be preached to all nations.
Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry
beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you
at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Spirit of God.
                   (Mark, 13:10-11)

But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or
how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it
will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of God speaking
                   through you. (Matthew, 10:19-20)

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of
what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commend-
ed for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at
God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of

                   what was visible. (Hebrews, 11:1-3)
