Pleasant Words from the Gospel
... Who through faith are shielded by God's power until the
coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last
time. (1 Peter, 1:5)
If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here
today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much
more clothe you, o you of little faith? (Matthew, 6:30)
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store
away in barns, and yet God feeds them. Are you not much
more valuable than they? (Matthew, 6:26)
So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we
drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all
these things, and God knows that you need them. (Matthew,
6:31-32)
He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his
mouth. "When they hurled their insults at him, he did
not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no
threats. Instead, he entrusted him-
self to Him [God] Who judges
justly. (1 Peter, 2:22-23)
