This is, of course, totally false. Of course nature is not a battlefield

in which living things are in a competition to the death. Living things
exhibit amazing instances of affection, compassion and altruism, not
only to their own species and offspring, but also toward other species.
This represents a powerful challenge to Darwinism. The existence of an
entity that risks its own life for its community, that is willing to starve
