Therefore, a Muslim asserts his point of view and attitude clearly under such
circumstances and takes a solid stand in such a case. Even if a majority of people
endorses a deviant act, believers behave according to God's commandments and
boundaries and assess events in line with the teachings of the Qur'an.

It is clear that according to the Qur'an homosexuality is 'a perverted and
deviant act.' Throughout history, Muslims' attitude on this matter has been very
straightforward. All Muslims know that homosexuality is 'an unlawful act and at
the same time an ugly foulness.' However, hypocrites' attitude on this matter is
not like Muslims'. Hypocrites regard the morality God is pleased with as ugly
and what God does not approve as beautiful. They do not like the way Muslims
live, but they adore the life style of unbelievers. They strive to distort the good
morality of Islam through deceitful or deviant ideas or attitudes. They seek
power and dignity not with what is right and just, but with whoever appears to be
stronger at that moment.
Since hypocrites are people with no dignity or honor, they dive right into
any abnormality, repulsiveness, fallacy, discord, mischief or deviation they can
find. Whatever God does not approve of or dislikes pulls hypocrites like a magnet.
Any wrong, perverted and evil person or activity is an important part of hypocrite's
life. Therefore, they definitely come into contact with such perverse people or
groups and try to be a part of their dark affairs. In fact, 'homosexuality' is one of
these. Even though hypocrites are aware that it is 'a hideous deviation', they take a
secret pleasure out of 'being friends with homosexuals, having sympathy for
them or being one of their advocates.' This evil sympathy is sourced from their
apprehension that it is an affair that God does not approve of and is against the
Qur'an.
Hypocrites follow all the misdeeds that satan shows them as admirable and in
time they become 'the devil's toy'. One of the things that satan incites hypocrites
is 'to have sympathy for' and 'to support homosexuals.' While under normal cir-
cumstances they need to be revolted by the disgusting and immoral attitudes of the
homosexuals, hypocrites take an evil pleasure from establishing friendships and
making contacts with them.
