28 L LOVE IN THE TORAH
If the Lord your God… gives you the whole land
He promised them, because you carefully follow all these
laws I command you today -to love the Lord your God
and to walk always in obedience to Him.... (Deuteron-
omy, 19:8-9)
And that you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice, and
hold fast to Him. For the Lord is your life, and He will give you many years
in the land He swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
(Deuteronomy, 30:20)
But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the
servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obe-
dience to Him, to keep His commands, to hold fast to Him and to serve Him
with all your heart and with all your soul. (Joshua, 22:5)
So be very careful to love the Lord your God. (Joshua 23:11)
“Now then,” said Joshua, “throw away the foreign gods that are among you
and yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.” (Joshua 24:23)
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.”
(Psalm, 16:2)
For I have always been mindful of Your unfailing love and have lived in
reliance on Your faithfulness… Lord, I love the house where You live, the
place where Your glory dwells. (Psalm, 26:3,8)
