86 L LOVE IN THE TORAH

                 LOVELESSNESS BRINGS CONFLICT

                      WHILE LOVE IS FORGIVING

Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs. (Proverbs, 10:12)

Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the
Lord evil is avoided. (Proverbs, 16:6)

Whoever would foster love covers over an offense, but whoever repeats
the matter separates close friends. (Proverbs, 17:9)

A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an of-
             fense. (Proverbs, 19:11)
Do not say, “I’ll do to them as they have done to me; I’ll pay them back

for what they did.” (Proverbs, 24:19)

Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the
Lord evil is avoided. (Proverbs, 16:6)

‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone… but love your neigh-
             bor as yourself… (Leviticus, 19:18)
