WISDOM AND SOUND ADVICE FROM THE TORAH

Wait for the Lord and keep His way... When the wick ed are
cut off, you will see it. The sal va tion of the right eous comes

from the Lord; He is their strong hold in time of troub le. The
Lord helps them and de liv ers them; He de liv ers them from
the wick ed and saves them, be cause they take ref uge in Him.
                     (Psalms, 37:34, 39-40)

Whoever gives heed to in struc tion pros pers, and bless ed is he
who trusts in the Lord. (Proverbs, 16:20)

A greedy man stirs up dis sen sion, but he who trusts in the
Lord will pros per. (Proverbs, 28:25)

Surely God is my sal va tion; I will trust and not be afraid. The
Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He has be come
my sal va tion. (Isaiah, 12:2)

You will keep in per fect peace him whose mind is stead fast,
be cause he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord for ev er, for the
Lord, the Lord, is the eter nal strength. (Isaiah, 26:3-4)

This is what the Sovereign Lord... says: "In re pent ance and
rest is your sal va tion, in qui et ness and trust is your strength,
but you would have none of it." (Isaiah, 30:15)

... Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in
the name of the Lord and re ly on his God. (Isaiah, 50:10)

But bless ed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose con fi -
dence is in Him. He will be like a tree plant ed by the wa ter that
sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat
comes; its leaves are al ways green. It has no wor ries in a year of
drought and nev er fails to bear fruit. (Jeremiah, 17:7-8)
