WISDOM AND SOUND ADVICE FROM THE TORAH
But you are to hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have
un til now. (Joshua, 23:8)
Circumcise your hearts, there fore, and do not be stiff-necked
any longer. (Deuteronomy, 10:16)
Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He
is near. (Isaiah, 55:6)
My soul finds rest in God alone... (Psalms, 62:1)
The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on
Him in truth. He ful fills the de sires of those who fear Him; He
hears their cry and saves them. The Lord watch es over all who
love Him... (Psalms, 145:18-20)
And you, my son Solomon, ac knowl edge the God of your fa -
ther, and serve Him with whole heart ed de vo tion and with a
will ing mind, for the Lord search es ev ery heart and un der -
stands ev ery mo tive be hind the thoughts. If you seek Him,
He will be found by you; but if you for sake Him, He will re -
ject you for ev er. (1 Chronicles, 28:9)
Now fear the Lord and serve Him with all faith ful ness.
Throw away the de i ties your fore fa thers wor shiped... and
serve the Lord. (Joshua, 24:14)
Beware that you do not for get the Lord your God...
(Deuteronomy, 8:14)
... What does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the
Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to love Him, to serve
the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
