PLAN YOUR
PLAN YOUR
SETTING YOUR PRIORITIES.
This exercise, will help you determine how important a ‘To
do’ item is in your list of things to do in your week.
The first thing in setting priorities of the things that need to get
done, is to write down what needs to get done.
Often we just from the top f our head just list a few things and
later realise that we’re trying to make room for other activities
we never planned for.
So now, I encourage you to take some time, relax and list
everything you need to do for the week. Don’t just think it, make
the effort to write it down as it comes to you.
Now take a look at your list and think them through, while
asking yourself the following questions and put your answers
on the worksheet provided. Each question is to be answered on
a scale of 1 to 5 of importance.
How important is completing this work, this week to you?
How big is the impact of completing this work this
week? (to answer this question, Think this through: If I do it
this week, how will it affect me, my family, my work, my goals,
etc.?)
On a scale of 1 – 5 how big is the impact of completing this
work this week? (to answer this question, think this through: If
it does not get done this week, how will it
affect me, my family, my work, my goals, etc.?)
Can this work be spread over a couple of weeks, so you do a
portion each week?
Can this work item be split up, to be completed over several
seating during the week?
How feasible is it to take a break in the process of doing this
work?
Can this work be postponed for a more appropriate time?
