Programming

• ISTA guides the user through the programming procedure

• The basic steps are as follows:

1 Establishing programming conditions The conditions for successful programming are established
(See next slide)

2 Calculating an Action plan (Measures plan) ISTA checks which measures must be carried out for each control unit. This
includes which order to program the control units and listing any re-working.
e.g. initialise power windows

3 Execution of the Action plan The programming procedure runs automatically from this point onwards
(This is the start of programming)

4 Sustainability The follow-up work that is required once the control units have been
programmed. Follow-up work is normally carried out automatically, but not
always. The user may have to carry out actions e.g. a terminal change,
steering angle
