Programming conditions

• Vehicle must be on a flat surface; drive position “P” (Park) must be engaged; secure vehicle against rolling

away (Parking brake)

• Connect Toyota supplied battery charger; PAD mode active

• Engine must be switched off; steering must be in straight-ahead position (but free to turn)

• Protect vehicle against direct sunlight

• Engine, transmission and brake system should be cooled down to ambient temperature

• All electrical consumers must be switched off

• No persons/objects on the front passenger seat

• Wipers must be able to move freely (no objects on the windscreen)

• Do not hang any protective covers over the headlights; do not connect any media carrier to the vehicle

• Doors/tailgate must be closed (during entire programming)

• Windows must be able to close completely (diagnostic cable must not be through an open window)
