              Using locknut wrench, tighten sprocket nut to 60 ft-lbs









                     CAUTION Maximum allowable tightening of sprocket nut is 45˚ of counterclockwise rotation, after initially tightening to 60 ft-lbs torque. Do not loosen sprocket nut while attempt- ing to align the screw holes. Tightening too much or little may cause the nut to come loose during vehicle opera- See  Figure 6-30.  Scribe a line (3) on the transmission sprocket nut (1). Continue the line on the transmission Tighten the transmission sprocket nut an additional 35˚ Install lockplate over transmission sprocket nut so that two of lockplate’s four drilled holes (diagonally opposite) align with sprocket’s two tapped holes.
