Sharing Ear Loops
Both the pan chang knot made with a reduced number of cords and the constellaton
knot are examples of modified knots made from a few cloverleaf knots with two outer
loops sharing some ear loops. You can use the ear loop sharing technique to link a few
knots, thus making a bigger and more elegant knot. Below are a few types of modi-
fied knots made by linking four cloverleaf knots with two outer loops (you can also
try three outer loops). Because of the different methods of sharing long ear loops, it
is possible to come up with two types of modified cloverleaf knots: wrap one, pull one
as well as wrap two, pull two.
