Formula for Type 3 Compound constellation knot with multiple outer loops:
a. (x) – (x–5) + (x–4) – (x–3) + (x–2) + (x–1)
b. (n–4) – (n–4–5) + (n–4–4) – (n–4–3) + (n–4–2) + (n–4–1) + 1
(n–3) – (n–3–5) + (n–3–4) – (n–3–3) + (n–3–2) + (n–3–1) – 1 + 2
(n–2) – (n–2–5) + (n–2–4) – (n–2–3) + (n–2–2) + (n–2–1) + 1 – 2 + 3
(n–1) – (n–1–5) + (n–1–4) – (n-1-3) + (n–1–2) + (n–1–1) – 1 + 2 – 3 + 4
(n) – (n–5) + (n–4) + (n–3) + (n–1) – 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 + 5
Formula application:
1.“x”denotes the number of each ear loop.
“n”denotes the total number of ear loops; ’n’ is bigger than 5.
2. When the value of “x”is not enough for deduction, then that item does not exist.
Example x =3 and insert this into the equation to give 3 + 1 + 2
x =5 and insertthis into the equation to give 5 + 1 – 2 + 3 + 4
3. Use formula “a”for all ear loops except the number 5 by counting backwards.
Use formula “b”for this particular ear loop.
Type 3 Compound constellation knot.
