ANNUAL PLAN
3
Why do an annual plan
Sitting down with your Regional Group and your
regional Network Partners is a great opportunity
to establish a shared purpose. A shared purpose is
what drives our businesses and personal life and
can therefore help us clarify and attain our targets,
so an Annual Plan helps Regional Leaders have a
better understanding of the targets for your region
and how to strive to achieve them.
Annual plans are particularly useful for scoping out
regional events such as pre-calving, mid-calving,
post-calving, pre-mating and Christmas wellbeing
events. It also gives you a chance to look at the one
or two regional events with learning outcomes. We
encourage you to run these annually.
An Annual Plan is a living document which your
whole team needs to be involved with and own. It is
a great idea to do the draft of it at the same time as
you are selecting the workshops in the Expression
of Interest. Once workshops are allocated, update
the Annual Plan so you can start to think about the
detail of the regional events you would like to run.
Once the plan is created, it is best to share your
plan with your Hub Leader and Regional Manager.
This helps them understand your region’s shared
purpose and needs, it also informs the wider
organisation of the proposed events in your region.
