AIRCRAFT SAFETY
4
Under Civil Aviation
Rule 91.211
All passengers must receive a briefing*
prior to any takeoff. It should never be
assumed that experience negates the need
for this requirement.
For New Zealand rural fire flights, the pilot or an authorised person
should conduct the safety brief, i.e. Air Support Supervisor, Airbase
Manager or Air Observer. It remains the responsibility of the person
operating the aircraft to ensure that the briefing is conducted for
all passengers.
f People about to embark an aircraft flight must have a full briefing.
* Template helicopter and general safety briefings are available at the rear of this booklet.
