Pupil premium
On our campus, the proportion of pupil premium students we have is
above the national average. At Wykham Park for 20-21 32% of pupils were
disadvantaged and this figure was 25% for Futures Institute.
A key focus for us is to ensure our disadvantaged students achieve in line
with their non-pupil premium peers. Stacey Walsh is responsible for pupil
premium students at Wykham Park and Julia Ingham is responsible at
Futures. They will drive whole-school strategies, such as a pupil premium
champion in each faculty or department, marking pupil premium books
even if WCF sheets are used and ensuring pupil premium students have
access to enrichment opportunities in curriculum areas. However, it is the
responsibility of every teacher to know our pupil premium students well
(remember, we will highlight their names, and the names of SEND pupils,
in our class folder - see Teaching and Learning expectations) so that we
know what will engage them and help them to make the best progress.
