Expectations
At Banbury Aspirations Campus, it is important to us that all members of
our schools feel included in our community and that they are treated with
kindness and respect. Our behaviour management strategy is based on
restorative justice and we have moved away from punishing students or
talking about consequences with them.
We still have high expectations for standards of behaviour and expect
students to meet these expectations, but the approach we take is a positive
one.
We are a non-shouting school and aim to deescalate issues in the
classroom. Knowing the students you teach well is key to this.
We are at the start of our journey in terms of restorative justice so will
have more to learn as we make progress in strengthening the relationships
between all adults and students in school, but we believe in this process as
the best one for the students in our community.
