Using the interactive map find your way to the A36 which encircles the southern side of the city
area.
Follow signposts to “Warminster”
0.0 mi 51.3867,-2.3514 At the i/s with Bathwick St and Beckford Rd.
Follow the A36. It goes in a large loop to the south-east. It’s not the most direct route, but it is the
easiest to find and follow.
2.7 mi The American Museum is on the right. Turn into Claverton Rd and follow the signs.
1.5 mi The Canal Centre on the l.
13.6 mi 51.1994,-2.2164 Turn off on to the A362 for Longleat
11.4 mi 51.1446,-1.9862 At Deptford, at the traffic lights, bear l. on to the A303 s/posted “Andover
A303” and “Stonehenge”.
At this point if you just want to go straight through to Salisbury remain on the A36 into the city.
6.3 mi 51.1718,-1.8606 Turn left on to the A360 for Stonehenge. The Long Barrow is on the r. just
after that turn
0.9 mi 51.1851,-1.8608 At the Airman’s Corner r/b take the 2nd exit for the Stonehenge Visitor
Centre.
To continue from Stonehenge to Salisbury . . .
Return to the A360 and follow it into the heart of Salisbury.
