[Return to the Heart of England Index]

On this tour you will enjoy a contrasting historical journey – from the beginnings of the
industrial revolution to the home of England’s (many would say the world’s) greatest
        playwright, William Shakespeare.

Along the way you can visit Britain’s second city, Birmingham, which has cast off the shadow of its
industrial past, take in a couple of ancient fortresses and even visit the birthplace of rugby football.
