Glasgow To Ayr
Route 8 on the map.
Find your way to the M8 and travel south, crossing the bridge over the River Clyde.
Keep in the left hand lane ready to exit on to the M77.
0.0 55.8494, -4.2850 At Junction 22, take the exit on to the M77 s/p “Kilmarnock / Prestwick
Airport”.
Follow the M77 on to the A77.

Take this option if you have come from Lochearnhead and you want to go directly from Balloch to
Ayr, giving Glasgow a miss:

Merge on to the A898 and continue on to the M898.

Airport M8″.

Junction 29 take the exit s/p “Glasgow Airport / A726 Paisley / A727 Irvine”.

Follow the A726 through Paisley. It is clearly signposted with black-and-white signs.

the bridge turn right at the traffic lights s/posted “Carlisle / Kilmarnock / Prestwick / East Kilbride /
M77”.
Follow the M77 on to the A77.
