Glasgow To Ayr

Route 8 on the map.

Find your way to the M8 and travel south, crossing the bridge over the River Clyde.

Keep in the left hand lane ready to exit on to the M77.

0.0 55.8494, -4.2850 At Junction 22, take the exit on to the M77 s/p “Kilmarnock / Prestwick
Airport”.

Follow the M77 on to the A77.

into Ayr.

Balloch To Ayr

Take this option if you have come from Lochearnhead and you want to go directly from Balloch to
Ayr, giving Glasgow a miss:

Road notes start at the A82 / A811 i/s just out of Balloch.

(M898)”.

Merge on to the A898 and continue on to the M898.

2.5 mi 55.9017, -4.4808 Take the exit ramp towards the M8 following s/p to “Paisley / Glasgow
Airport M8″.

3.2 mi 55.8596, -4.4540 You’ll pass around the sou’western end of Glasgow Airport and at
Junction 29 take the exit s/p “Glasgow Airport / A726 Paisley / A727 Irvine”.

0.4 mi 55.8580, -4.4485 At the r/bout take the 3rd exit s/p “East Kilbride A726 / Paisley”.

Follow the A726 through Paisley. It is clearly signposted with black-and-white signs.

the bridge turn right at the traffic lights s/posted “Carlisle / Kilmarnock / Prestwick / East Kilbride /
M77”.

Follow the M77 on to the A77.
