THE ENEMY IN-A-ME

until I have you. So I've been looking at you. I've been doing a case study on
you; I've been checking you out. I've been looking at your dysfunctional
childhood, your weaknesses, your needs, your moods, your attitudes, your
dispositions, and your vulnerabilities, so that I would know how to hit on you

and to have you. You are under surveillance all the times, even now.

Then Jesus told Peter, “But I have prayed for you that your faith will not fail
and after you have come through this temptation, be sure to strengthen

your brothers.” [Luke 22:32] And you know the rest of the story how Peter went
on to deny ever knowing Jesus, but the bible tells us that he repented and
went on to do mighty works in the name of Jesus.

I’m remembering how in the Book of Job 1:6-12, when the day came for the

heavenly beings to appear before the Lord, Satan was there among them.
The Lord asked him, “What have you been doing?” Satan answered, “I have
been walking here and there, roaming around the earth.” “Did you notice
my servant Job?” the Lord asked. “There is no one on earth as faithful and
good as he is. He worships me and is careful not to do anything evil.” Satan
replied, “Would Job worship you if he got nothing out of it? You have always
protected him and his family and everything he owns. You bless everything
he does, and you have given him enough cattle to ll the whole country. But
now suppose you take away everything he has—he will curse you to your
face!” “All right,” the Lord said to Satan, “everything he has is in your power,
but you must not hurt Job himself.” So Satan left.

I’m telling you this story of Job because that no matter how spiritual and
consecrated and how prayerful you are. You need to understand that he's
watching you. Satan is looking at you with a sense of longing, wanting to
work his will through your body. He wants to possess you, dominate you,
control you, rule you, and act through you. Everything, every act you do is
                motivated by a spiritual force.

Can I ask you a question? Who is controlling you when you do what you do?
What is motivating you? What spirit is being satis ed through your body? If
it is Satan, then you grieve the Holy Spirit. Anytime you allow the enemy to
work his will through your body you grieve the Holy Spirit, because the Holy

Spirit desires to have you also that he might use you for Gods glory and Gods
