THE ENEMY IN-A-ME

service. So don’t bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live.

Remember, he has identi ed you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be
saved on the day of redemption. [Ephesians 4:29-30]

The only thing the enemy wants to do is use you as a pawn in his hand. He
wants to use you to laugh in God's face, and say you wanted him did you? He
says I'm here rst, and I'm not moving. I thought he was your son, look at
what I made your son do. Isn't that what temptation is all about? Isn't that
what Jesus went through in the wilderness? He was trying to get the Son of
God to do things he wasn't supposed to do. Turn this stone into bread, throw
yourself off this mountain, bow down and worship me. [Matthew 4:1-11]

There are familiar spirits, strongholds, and generational curses that are

operating and have been assign to work in your families blood line. They
have had their way from your great-great-great grandfather on down, and
now they are after you. His war wages on and he continues his battle for the
minds and hearts of God’s creatures.

Y ou remember King David don’t you, King David had a generational curse
operating in his family, and it needed to be broken. He was a good man, he
was a worshiper, he praised God with all his heart, mind, and strength, he
was creative, he was not intimidated or insecure, but he had a lust problem.

This lust problem ared up in his life from time to time and it caused him to
sleep with Bathsheba, another man’s wife. The Bible tells us that late one
afternoon, after his midday rest, David got out of bed and was walking on the
roof of the palace. As he looked out over the city, he noticed a woman of
unusual beauty taking a bath. He sent someone to nd out who she was,
and he was told, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of
Uriah the Hittite.” Then David sent messengers to get her; and when she
came to the palace, he slept with her. She had just completed the
puri cation rites after having her menstrual period. Then she returned
home. Later when Bethsheba discovered that she was pregnant, she
sent David a message, saying, “I’m pregnant.” Then David sent word to Joab:
“Send me Uriah the Hittite.” So Joab sent him to David. When Uriah arrived,
David asked him how Joab and the army were getting along and how the
