About Mitchell
“In Mitchell’s younger years, he worked at his future father‐in‐law’s pool hall. As an adult he always worked for
Weil’s and Bo Weil’s Moving Company. Mitchell was drafted during World War II, and got a medical discharge
for having a bad ankle. He liked to play cards and to bet on horses. He always enjoyed a good joke. He had a
nice house built in Mt. Caramel. One of the requirements was that he had to have the yard sodded and so me
and Dad helped him do that. Even though he and his wife got a divorce, I think he still loved her till the day he
died. He kept her picture by his bed.“ Earl Davison, from 2003 recorded interview
