                                          Apple Dapple Cake Topping
                                                    1 cup brown sugar
                                                       1 stick butter
                                                        1/4 cup milk
                          1.  Combine ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer.
                          2.  Cook for 4 minutes, then cool slightly.
                          3.  Pour over cooled cake.
                                     Other Apple Dapple Cake Topping
                                                       1 stick butter
                                                 2 teaspoons heavy cream
                                               1/2 cup packed brown sugar
                                                     1 teaspoon vanilla
                             1.  Heat butter, cream and brown sugar over medium heat.
                             2.  Bring to a boil stirring to dissolve the sugar, then remove
                                 from heat.
                             3.  Add Vanilla.
                             4.  Let stand 5 to 10 minutes to thicken.
                             5.  Drip it over the cake.
