                                          Chocolate No‐Bake Cookies

                                                        1 stick butter


                                                  2 cups granulated sugar

                                                        1/2 cup milk

                                                       1/4 cup cocoa

                                                     1 teaspoon vanilla

                                              1/2 cup peanut butter (4.4 oz.)

                                                     2 cups quick oats


                         1. Melt butter in a pot on medium‐high to high.

                         2. Add sugar and milk and stir it all together.


                         3. Keep stirring and when it starts to boil around edges, start
                            timer for 2 minutes 25 seconds.

                         4. Keep stirring.

                         5. When timer goes off, add vanilla and remove from heat.

                         6. Add peanut butter, cocoa, and oats.

                         7. Stir together until completely mixed together.


                         8. Spoon onto wax paper.
                         9. Let cool.


                                                            Notes:

               When you first start spooning the cookies out, it will seem like they aren't going to harden, but by the time you
                  finish, the first ones are about ready to eat.

               If you don't like chocolate, you can leave out the cocoa for some tasty peanut butter no‐bake cookies. Everything
                  else stays the same.

               Various versions of this recipe were submitted by several people. Mary E. Davison notes that 1 can of angel flake
                  coconut or chopped nuts may be added as desired.
