Laundry Soap

“I really don’t have to tell you that this is not for human consumption, do I?
It is for washing up all those clothes you drip food on while cooking and eating!”

1/3 bar Fels Naptha soap, grated

1/2 cup washing soda (Arm & Hammer)

1/2 cup 20 mule team borax

2 gallon bucket and long wooden spoon for stirring

1. Place Fels Naptha soap and 6 cups water in saucepan.

2. Heat until soap melts.

3. Add soda and borax and stir until dissolved.

4. Remove from heat.

5. Pour 4 cups hot water into bucket.

6. Add soap mixture and stir.

7. Add 1 gallon plus 6 cups water and stir.

8. Let set for 24 hours and it will become gel‐like.

9. Use 1/2 cup per load in a regular washer. Follow
instructions for your own washing machine. High

efficiency will use less.
