OPERATIONAL DEFINITION
Number of faculty contributing to teaching or research in the last annual reporting period who are
visiting from an international institution for a minimum period of at least three months. The annual
reporting period is the last complete academic, financial or calendar year.

ACTION PLAN SCHOOLS/ DEPARTMENTS
INVOLVED
• Schools need to identify and select potential visiting staff,
and inform Registrar to produce offer letter Schools
• Establish MoU for staff exchange
• Simplify MoU process - devolution of power to University’s
Management Committee
• Be more flexible with regards to MoU process – for instance, 221
may use UUM or partner’s document
